Individual Computers was founded in 1994 by Jens Schönfeld. The first year after the foundation, the company did remittance work for games companies. The first hardware expansion was the Graffiti, which appeared in 1995. Since then, main business segment is the development of various Amiga expansion cards like I/O, network and sound cards.

Individual Computers is a one-man company, all fields which are not covered by Jens Schönfeld are outsourced (e.g. software development, hardware production and distribution).
