- Magnetic Card Reader
- card reader for credit cards or other cards with magnetic stripe, cards are swiped through for readout
- reader device used for this expansion is Omron 3S4YR-HNR4
- expansion supports data stored on track 1, 2 and 3
- in order to switch between tracks, the reader case needs to be opened and the read head physically moved to the other position
- read head position: bottom for track 1, middle for track 2/3
- tracks require different readout routine, provided as two different software tools
- software readout fields include Card Number, Name, Expiry Date, Start Date, Account Number, Sort Code, Card ID, Checksum
- plugs into joystick port
