    Multi-Function Memory Expansion
  • FRVF stands for "Fast Ram - Video out - FDD Interface"
  • 4 MB or 8 MB Fast RAM
  • expansion uses SRAM
  • provides buffered RGB video output via VGA HD15 DSUB connector - requires a monitor which supports 15 kHz RGB input signals
  • additional signals provided on unused pins of the VGA connector:
    • composite sync signal output, compatible with televisions with a SCART input
    • 5V voltage
  • VGA video output is buffered with an Analog Devices ADA4412 chip for RGB and 74HC2G17 for synchronization signals
  • 40 pin FDD header to attach a PC floppy drive or Gotek expansion
  • 5V / 12V is provided on the floppy header
  • disable switches for FDD and RAM
  • LED to indicate that the Autoconfig reading procedure has been completed successfully
  • expansion plugs into the rear expansion connector of the CD32, the expansion connector is not passed through
