Jen-Che Wang founded AlfaData in 1990. The main main business field in the early 90's was the production of inexpensive Amiga expansion cards (mainly RAM cards) and peripherals.

From 1993 on, AlfaData did the manufacturing for BSC - after BSC was liquidated, AlfaData took over the rights of most of their expansions and started production and distribution of those expansions under it's own name.

By 1995, AlfaData was the leading Amiga peripheral supplier. After the demise of Commodore, AlfaData changed to other systems and nowadays produces mainly input devices for games consoles and PC.
