DCE was founded in 1987 as a repair shop for various home computers like Atari, Schneider, Star and Commodore. Hardware production started in 1995, as the first the first production line was established in that year for remittance hardware production.
DCE acquired some licenses from Phase 5 in April 1999:
The production of those cards started in March 2000. Main business segment around 2000 was, beside remittance hardware production, the fabrication of Amiga accelerators, graphics cards, bus boards as well as expansions for the CD32. Beside that, DCE repaired Amiga hardware, especially the Phase 5 expansions.
Nowadays, DCE solely produces hardware for third-party companies. Even repair has been put down due to hostility of some Amiga users, which meant bad publicity DCE couldn't afford.
