    • buffer-insertion multi-user ring network, similar to Token Ring

  • card contains a relay and a 75116 differential transceiver - the relay allows the ring to function even when the Amiga is switched off, as it connects input to output in that case

  • DB9 connector to attach the network transceiver
  • delivered with CantenaNet software which supports SimpleNet protocol
    • SimpleNet protocol is available for IBM PC, IBM PS/2, Atari ST, CP/M and others
    • provided functions: printer spooling, hard drive sharing between nodes, message exchange with other users, system time setting
