Elaborate Bytes was a german Amiga hardware manufacturer and was founded in 1986 by Oliver Kastl. The company specialized in Amiga mass-storage products.
In the first years, hardware products were produced like the Amiga Loads Faster (ALF) series of harddisk controllers. After the ALF-III development was finished, the complete hardware product palette was sold to bsc Büroautomation, because it was decided to concentrate on software development only.
In the following years, software for 3rd party hardware products were developed, and commercial standalone products were sold like CacheCDFS and IDE-fix.
