- resolution can be freely chosen between 320×200 px and 640×512 px
- software supports loading/saving in IFF format
- effects can be applied, e.g. outline mode
- color images in 32 or 4096 colors can be grabbed in 3 passes using color filters - this was not initially supported by the software and required an update
- digitization can be started via keyboard shortcut, mouse button press or via a hardware switch connected to the expansion
