  • attaches an external CD-ROM drive or hard drive to the A600, A1200 and A4000 internal IDE controller
  • for the A500, used in conjunction with the AlfaPower and AlfaPower Plus IDE controllers which attaches to the side expansion port
  • supplied with a buffered 4-port IDE adapter ("Multi-Drive Adapter") which provides 2 IDE interfaces (each with master/slave device)
  • on A600 and A1200, the metal shielding needs to be cut or omitted after installation, as the IDE adapter doesn't fit otherwise
  • three jumpers on the adapter to cut the Select signals for the individual connectors, needed for some hard drives which prevent the Amiga from booting
  • delivered with IDEfix IDE driver, CacheCDFS CD-ROM filesystem and CD32 emulator
  • requires Kickstart v2.04 on A500 and v2.05 on A600
  • optional audio kit installs into external CD-ROM drive housing and allows simultaneous playback of Amiga and CD-ROM sound
