  • G.O.M.F. stands for 'Get Outa My Face'
  • global system error handling routine that eliminates Guru Meditation alerts as well as Task Held requesters, presents debug information and allows saving data
  • supplied as software and optionally with a hardware extension called GOMF Button
  • the GOMF Button allows skipping over system lockup conditions by readdressing a program to different memory location - that way, the program can be kept running
  • as the system is in an unknown state after error handling, it is advised to store the (possibly corrupted) data to temporary location and reboot
  • application allows removing a hanging program (nuke function)
  • GOMF Button board plugs into Paula socket, the Paula chip is replaced onto the board
  • board contains only a 555 timer, a 74LS368 inverting buffer chip as well as a couple of passive components
  • supports 68010 and 68020 processors
