- eight Zorro I slots (86 pin) in a chassis that sits on top of the A1000
- each slot can be individually enabled or disabled with a switch at the front panel
- internal power supply
- 4 power outlets, controllable by buttons from the front panel
- recessed expansion slot at front panel to install external modules (e.g. "The Associate", a serial/parallel multiport data switch) - or store floppy disks if unoccupied
- special port to install RAM expansion cards up to 8 MB
