  • installation is complicated and involves cutting traces on the Amiga motherboard and soldering wires to the GR-2 adapter board
  • RAM present in the A500 (512kB) can be utilised as FastRAM - 2 additional wires have to be soldered from the RAM chips to the AX-RAM board
  • the main board connects to the trapdoor slot
  • the adaptor board GR-2 connects to Gary's socket (Gary has to be replaced on the board)
  • disable switch, has to be connected to the AX-RAM and GR-2 board
